Jonathan (Jonny) Aleksey is the creator/writer/artist of The J-Man Web Series and The Valve Web Series. Jonny's love for comics started from his late father, Douglas. He showed him his own collections of Superman and Batman comics, but he was more fond of Spider-Man and Marvel.

Jonny credits shows like Batman TAS, Superman TAS, and The Spectacular Spider-Man; as well as Disney Films like Beauty and the Beast and The Incredibles for his major influences on his work. Jonny prefers stylized, semi-blocky, brightly colored comic art over more realistic works.

Jonny attended the High School of Art and Design where he started working on the basics for The J-Mam Web Series. He created a 6-issue printed mini series, which he was proud of at the time. Now, he REALLY doesn't want you to see it. After High School he started college at the School of Visual Arts where he hopes to earn a BA in Cartooning. In early-2014 he started reworking the mini-series into The J-Man Web Series. Issues #1-2 became Book 1, #3-4 became Book 2, and #5-6 became Book 3. Around the same time he came up with the idea for The Valve Web Series one random night in his sketch book (one of them, he has dozens of the things).

He father's death made him more appreciative of family/friend relationships, especially the parent-child relationship. Those became the base for the stories. Other themes he is interested in are the mind and dual-haves, black-n-white verses a gray outlook of the world, and living up to self-made expectations.

Jonny dreams of making it big in the comic/cartoon industry. Having his characters recognized as part of superhero history. Maybe even have a crossover or two with Marvel (He has countless "J-Man meets Spider-Man" drawings, it's kinda scary). But most importantly, he wants people to read, enjoy, and have fun with his comics.
