Greetings and salutations my fiendish followers! I, uh, admin I procrastinated this year's horror homage, but I got the corpse up and running just in time! This year we're paying tribute to the OG (original ghoul) of all science experiment gone wrong: FRANKENSTEIN! The classic '31 Universal flick to be exact.

Along with Silver Age superheroes and dinosaurs, my father was a big fan of Golden Age horror. From King Kong to Jekyll & Hyde, he showed my as a child a lot of black-n-white horror films. While they didn't influence my quiet as much as superheroes I grew up with a fascination for those foggy expressionistic aesthetics, and the one that stuck with me the most was Frankenstein and it's sequel. I love the sympathetic and tragic tell of the Monster and the ideas of bring the dead back to life and scientist turning on their creations has had some effect on my comics.

Jonny Regionson was brought back by the Jaintium so making him Frankenstein's Monster was obvious. I actually wanted to do this for a while but 1930's posters aren't really homage material. So I opted to homage the style of posters like it and various poses from different posters. I actually had an idea to make a 2-3 page short comic on this homage as I had a good for a story. I knew I wouldn't be able to get it done in time, sadly. If I can remember it and plan much better I'd like to it for next year.

That's a whole 365 days from now tho. Let's focus on the now and celebrate the spookiest time of the year. Now if you'll excuse I can feel a big lighting storm coming and I have a little pet project I'm working on in the basement...
